Your proposed project can be achieved by contracting a Builder or opting to become an Owner Builder. Either way, Owner-Built can assist by getting you a start, doing the feasibility, plans, drawings, etc. and obtaining approval so you are ready for construction. At this stage, choose a Builder or opt for the Owner-Builder path, with or without Owner-Built's help. The choice is yours.

1. Cost Savings: Professional builders charge a premium for their services. On average, the homeowner can save approximately 30% of the total quoted builder cost by taking the owner builder option. Further, my experience has shown that if the owners are prepared to do some of the work themselves, the returns can be in the order of 100% - that is, for every $1 expensed, the return on the value of the home is $2

2. Control: As an owner builder you have full control over your project - your project becomes your priority and you are able to decide exactly what you want done, who is going to do it, when they are going to do it and what price you are going to pay

3. Satisfaction: Being an owner builder can be very rewarding and satisfying. There is nothing more enjoyable than creating some "wow factor" in your home by doing it yourself
